The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) is offering this free archived webcast to support hospitals in their work in patient safety and the use of restraints.
The session will cover relevant legislation and background information and the Coroner’s verdict and jury recommendations from the inquest into the death of Jeffrey James, which deals broadly with restraint minimization techniques and practices, and the development of reporting mechanisms. The webcast will also provide information on work underway in hospitals to implement the jury recommendations.
