2011 Family Physicians of the Year Awards in Montreal
For 39 years, the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) has honoured family physicians by awarding 10 of the most exceptional family physicians nationwide with the Reg L. Perkin Award. Established in 1996, the award is named in honour of Dr. Reg L. Perkin, CFPC Executive Director from 1985 to 1996. The award presented to one family physician from each province in recognition of his/her outstanding patient care; significant contributions to the health and well-being of their respective communities; and commitment to family medicine teaching and research. Award recipients are nominated by their colleagues, patients, community leaders and the CFPC's provincial chapters.
