Health care organizations are increasingly asked to do more with less - lower costs, reduce wait times and improve patient care. Health care providers are now realizing that enhancing quality and eliminating waste are necessary strategies for responding to the challenges in our public health care system. In response to these challenges, ‘Lean Thinking’ has found its way into the Canadian health care system with encouraging results.
